Jakarta, 26th September: The Jakarta city government has launched a new initiative to support its business events industry. Jakarta will create a bid fund aimed at bringing events to the city.

The government has earmarked a budget of 10 billion rupiah (US$675,000) to support event organisers bidding for and hosting major events. The level of support will need to be approved by an independent board which includes the Creative Economic & Jakarta Art Council committees
