Bangkok, 27th April: This week, the China Great Wall International Exhibition Company (GIE), organiser of the China International Pet Show (CIPS), announced that the company has acquired a 50% stake in two pet shows in Bangkok organised by IMPACT. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The two pet shows included in the deal are Thailand International Pet Variety and the Thailand International Dog Show. According to GIE, this acquisition marks the first time that a Chinese exhibition organiser has acquired an event outside of China. GIE was established in 1995 and it is an “international exhibition company ratified by the Ministry of Commerce.”
