Düsseldorf, 15th May: International exhibition organiser, Messe Düsseldorf, has appointed a new COO. Wolfram Diener will join Messe Düsseldorf from UBM Asia. Diener will take up his new role on 1st October 2018. Messe Düsseldorf’s current managing director, Joachim Schäfer, will retire in late August.

Diener will take over responsibility for business divisions managed by Schäfer and he will also manage Messe Düsseldorf’s “Digital Strategy and Communication” division which was established last year. The new division is responsible for managing IT, marketing services, advertising and trade press relations.
