Paris, 15th May: The board of directors at UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has voted to elect Anbu Varathan as its president for the term 2020/21. Varathan is the Director General & CEO of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association – IMTMA. He will be the first UFI President from India.

IMTMA is the organiser of the IMTEX exhibition, a machine tool industry exhibition in India. Varathan is also CEO of the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). He has served on the UFI Board of Directors since 2011 and was appointed to the UFI Executive Committee in 2017.
