Amsterdam, 13th May: According to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), there were a global total of 12,937 rotating international association meetings in 2018. That is an increase of 379 more meetings than the figure recorded in 2017. This is also a new global record, according to ICCA.

In terms of city rankings, Paris returned to first place worldwide with 212 meetings. In Asia, Singapore (8th worldwide) remained first in the region hosting 145 meetings. Bangkok was the only other Asian city to rank in the global top 10 with 135 meetings. Bangkok was ranked 10th worldwide.
