Singapore unveils latest budget to support industry
Singapore, 27th May: Most businesses in Singapore will reopen in July, however, its aviation and tourism industries will not fully reopen for a longer period of time. As a result, the Singapore government has rolled out its fourth budget subsidy amounting to S$33 billion (US$23 billion) to support affected Singaporean businesses.
Under the terms of the new subsidy, named the “Fortitude Budget,” Singapore will provide another S$3.8 billion (US$2.63 billion) to augment its Job Support Scheme for businesses, which will extend payments until August 2020 and cover 75% of the wages.
