Malaysia, 19th January: The Malaysian prime minister, Muhyiddin Yassin, recently released the country’s latest stimulus package (known as PERMAI). The Malaysian business events industry expressed disappointment with the new programme.

The latest stimulus package extends the wage subsidy programme for just one month to all employers regardless of the business sector. It includes a wage subsidy of RM 600 (US$148) for each employee earning less than RM 4,000 (US$987).
