UFI Global Barometer: positive for 2021
Paris, 26th January: Earlier this week, UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, released its latest Global Barometer research. According to the research, the impact of COVID-19 in 2020 has been (unsurprisingly) severe; however, there are positive signs regarding a potentially quick recovery in 2021.
Between April and August 2020, more than half of the respondents reported no event activity. In September, majority of them reported some operations at reduced levels. Most companies expect both local and national exhibitions to re-open by the end of June 2021, and international exhibitions to re-open in the second half of this year.
