Hong Kong needs more exhibition and convention space
/Hong Kong, 8th June: The stakeholders of Hong Kong’s exhibition and convention industry have urged the local government to expand the existing exhibition and convention space due to the growing number of wall-bound shows in Hong Kong and to compete with increasing portfolio of modern venues in neighbouring cities, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
According to Stanley Chu, Adsale Exhibition Services’ chairman, a third venue in Hong Kong is not a favour choice of the organisers who want to hold a large-scale event under one roof. Expanding both AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) and Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) would be the most suitable solution for the industry.
