HKCEC to invest nearly US$4m in Wi-Fi network

Hong Kong, 28th March: The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (HML), the management company of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), has announced plans to rebuild its entire Wi-Fi network at the venue. The project will require an investment of US$3.9 million.

The project will involve the installation of 660 new Wi-Fi access points and will be able to support more than 20,000 mobile devices concurrently. The work is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018. All exhibition halls and function rooms, front of house areas, entrance lobbies and concourses, organiser officers and ancillary rooms, as well as restaurants will have full access to the new Wi-Fi network.
