STB’s chief executive steps down

Singapore, 10th May: The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has announced its chief executive, Lionel Yeo, will step down from his post on 31st May to join an unnamed company in the private sector.

Yeo has been chief executive of STB since 2012. Under his leadership, Singapore recorded historical highs of both visitor arrivals and tourism receipts in 2017. Singapore welcomed 17.4 million visitors and generated tourism receipts of S$26.8 billion (US$20.4 billion) in 2017 which contributed about 4% to Singapore’s GDP.
