Messe Frankfurt posts record results in 2018

Frankfurt, 13th December: Last week, international exhibition organiser, Messe Frankfurt, released its preliminary results for 2018. Management expects that its total sales will reach a new record, hitting €715 million (US$814 million), a 7% increase over the figure in 2017.

During the year, Messe Frankfurt organised more than 490 events around the world. Nearly 102,000 exhibitors and more than 4.5 million visitors attended these events. According to the company, approximately 54% of total sales were generated from Frankfurt-based events – totalling €385 million (US$438 million). Messe Frankfurt also recorded new levels of net income and EBITDA - €59 million (US$67 million) and €133 million (US$151 million), respectively.
