HKCEC begins US$128m renovation project

Hong Kong, 24th July: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (HML), the management company of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), has provided an update on its five-year, HK$1 billion (US$128 million) renovation of HKCEC facilities and infrastructure.

Named the “Advancement Project,” the work started on 29th June 2019 covering the convention hall, theatres, foyers and Hall 3FG. The project includes upgrading audio systems, air conditioning, water pipes and fire services installations; replacing carpets, partitions and wall fabrics; and refurbishing toilets and some of the ancillary rooms. Subsequent stages will cover other facilities in the rest of the venue. The project will be completed in early 2024.
