Alibaba to handle ticketing at 2022 Beijing Olympics

Lausanne, 12th January: Alibaba continues to disrupt a long list of industries and business processes. This week, Alibaba revealed details about its plans to manage ticketing at the 2022 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Beijing (despite the lack of… snow and mountains).

Chris Tung, Alibaba Group's chief marketing officer, stated this week that the group’s goal is to make the Winter Games the first ever  “truly Cloud-based Olympic Games.” For the Beijing Games, Alibaba has been named both the official ticketing platform and ticketing service provider.
