ICCA releases new stats: Singapore ranks first in Asia

Amsterdam, 12th May: According to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), there were a global total of 13,254 rotating international association meetings in 2019, which is a new record. That figure is an increase of 317 meetings compared with 2018.

In terms of city rankings, Paris remained on top with 237 meetings. In Asia, Singapore (7th worldwide) remained first in the region hosting 148 meetings and Tokyo was 10th worldwide with 131 meetings.

Other Asian cities in the global top 20 ranking were Bangkok (13th worldwide) with 124 meetings, Seoul (15th worldwide) with 114 meetings, Taipei (19th worldwide) with 101 meetings and Sydney (20th worldwide) with 93 meetings.
