Gangwon province plans to build convention centre
/Korea, 2nd February: Gangwon, a province in eastern Korea, has revealed plans to build an international convention centre on the site that hosted the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
The purposed plans for the convention centre will cost an estimated KRW149 billion (US$133 million) and will cover a 54,200 m2 site, with a total floor area of 36,900 m2. The convention centre will be built on Hajungdo Island which is also where a new Legoland Theme Park will open in 2022.
