Marina Bay Sands begins US$1 billion transformation
/Singapore, 8th February: Marina Bay Sands (MBS) in Singapore has announced plans to begin a massive renovation. The upgrade and expansion project will transform its existing infrastructure, which opened in 2010. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
With an estimated investment cost of US$1 billion, the renovation will cover hotel rooms and suites, new F&B offerings and other enhancements to the huge integrated resort. The first phase of the project will be completed in 2023. MBS stated that the project will “transform the design and significantly elevate the hospitality experience in the luxury travel segment.” MBS expects its investment to help Singapore with the recovery of its tourism sector.
